This tour focuses on Sri Lanka’s rich cultural tapestry, taking you through ancient cities, sacred temples, traditional villages, and colonial architecture. You’ll begin with a wetland boat trip in Muthurajawela before heading to Munneswaram Temple, a revered Hindu site dedicated to Lord Shiva. The tour also includes a visit to Sirambiadiya village, where you’ll experience Kaffir culture—a unique blend of African and Portuguese influences expressed through traditional dance and music.

The journey continues to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s first capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll see sacred temples, ancient ruins, and the Sri Maha Bodhi tree. You’ll also climb Sigiriya Rock and explore Dambulla Cave Temple with its intricate frescoes. In Kandy, the cultural capital, you’ll visit the Temple of the Tooth and watch traditional cultural performances that showcase the country’s artistic heritage.

The hill country portion includes visits to the Temple Loop near Kandy, featuring wood carvings at Embekke Temple and stone carvings at Gadaladeniya. You’ll also spend time with the indigenous Vedda people in Dambana, learning about their traditional lifestyle, hunting methods, and herbal medicine practices. The tour takes you through Ella’s scenic landscapes and the sacred pilgrimage site of Kataragama before heading south to Galle Fort.

The final days are spent in Colombo, exploring the National Museum, Gangaramaya Temple, Pettah Market, and the Pettah Dutch Museum. You’ll also visit Port City Colombo and relax at Galle Face Green, experiencing the modern side of the capital alongside its colonial past. Day 01

  • Arriving in Negombo
  • Arrive at Colombo Airport and transfer to your hotel in Negombo.
  • In the evening, you will take a Muthurajawela Dutch Canal boat trip.
  • This area was once a large paddy cultivation but is now a marsh with sedge and grasses.
  • It has a bird sanctuary and a mangrove environment.

Day 02

  • Anuradhapura
  • After breakfast, you will start traveling to Anuradhapura via Puttalam
  • On the way, visit Munneswaram.
  • The Munneswaram Kovil is a Hindu temple in Sri Lanka dedicated to Lord Shiva.
  • The temple features festivals and has spiritual significance, attracting pilgrims from across the island.
  • Daily sacred rituals are performed here.
  • You will also experience Sirambiadiya village entertainment, which is rooted in Kaffir culture, a blend of African and Portuguese influences.
  • Their traditional dance, “Kaffringa,” is accompanied by drums, tambourines, and metal spoons.
  • The music and dance styles of Baila and Manja are also part of their cultural heritage.
  • Next you will be directly travel to Anuradhapura

Day 03

  • After relax breakfast at hotel start travelling to Kingdom Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Sri Lanka’s first capital, known for its ancient ruins, sacred temples, and colossal dagobas.
  • Explore the whole ancient kingdom Anuradhpura.
  • Sacred Sri Maha Bodhi (the oldest try in the world)
  • Ruwan Weli Pagoda (highest number of relics of Load Buddha’s inside)
  • Ancient swimming pool of king’s Kuttam Pokuna
  • Many pagodas, palaces and ruins.
  • Next visit Mihintale, the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka
  • Travel back to Dambulla and enjoy Hiriwadunna village trip and experience bullock cart trip/ vessel trip/ tree hut/ village cooking demonstration & Tuktuk trip.
  • After that check in to Habarana Hotel

Day 04

  • Wakeup early in the morning & go off with breakfast packets to explore Sigiriya, or Lion Rock, an ancient fortress and palace complex built on a 200-meter rock. It features frescoes, gardens, and water features, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • After that start traveling to Kingdom Polonnaruwa.
  • Explore the whole Ancient Kingdom of Polonnaruwa including Gal Vihara rock carvings
  • Explore the ruins of medieval Polonnaruwa.
  • In the afternoon enjoy a amazing jeep safari at Minneriya National Park.
  • In the evening check in to Habarana hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Habarana.

Day 05

  • After breakfast at hotel starts traveling to Kingdom Kandy.
  • En-route visit Dambulla Cave Temple,known for its beautiful frescoes on the walls and ceiling.
  • En-route visit Matale Spice Garden (Authentic Sri Lankan spices & it’s hand made products)
  • Explore the Royal Botanic Gardens of Peradeniya, the largest and most extensive in Sri Lanka
  • Around 4.30 pm go off to entertain witness phenomenal event Kandy Cultural Show(3 dancing styles in Sri Lanka).
  • Visit whole Kandy City view from the Kandy view point
  • Evening check in to Kandy Hotel.

Day 06

  • After breakfast at hotel visit Temple of Tooth Relic (Lord Buddhas sacred tooth relic)
  • After that go-off to check amazing Sri Lankan Gem & Jewellery Museum.
  • Next visit authentic Sri Lankan Batik clothing, Precious Stones , silk, art ,craft and galleries..
  • Visits Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where 80 disabled Elephants & babies are kept
  • Baby Elephants feeding.
  • In the afternoon, travel to Nuwara Eliya.
  • You will also see Ramboda Waterfall and the Damro Tea factory & shop.

Day 07

  • After relax breakfast at hotel visit city places such as Strawberry Plantation, Victoria Park, Gregory Lake & Colonial Building.
  • Next you will be drive to Nanu Oya Railway Station
  • Experience the one of the most beautiful scenic train ride in the world & directly travel to Ella Nature Paradise.
  • Evening check in to Ella hotel

Day 08

  • After relax breakfast at hotel go off to visit Ella nature paradise & enjoy the breathtaking 360 panoramic view of Little Adams Peak.
  • Visit & explore the iconic Nine Arch Bridge & Ella Gap.
  • Next travel to visit Kataragama Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Murugan.

  • After relax breakfast at hotel start travelling to Bentota
  • See Sri Lanka’s traditional stilt fishermen, balancing on poles in the shallow sea.
  • In the afternoon explore & enjoy the famous city of Galle & Go on a walk inside the historical Dutch Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
  • Walk along the ramparts, explore colonial streets, cafés, and boutiques.
  • En-route you can join a Madu River boat safari and fish therapy.
  • Visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery
  • In the evening,relax at Unawatuna Beach (also known as Jungle beach). This picturesque bay has calm waters, golden sand, and lush surroundings, making it perfect for relaxation and water activities.(Optional)

  • After relaxing breakfast enjoy full day with Colombo City Tour & attractions.
  • Visits and explore Colombo National Museum, Gangaramaya Temple, Galleface Green, Lotus Tower, One Galleface mall,Colombo railway station, Port City Beach.
  • Back to Colombo Hotel.
