Itinerary
Day 01
- Arrival at Colombo Airport.
- Chauffeur will meet you and welcome you with orchid garlands.
- Transfer to Chilaw and visit Munneswaram Hindu Temple and Manavari Hindu Temple.
- Then go to Anuradhapura.
- Star night at Anuradhapura: take a delicious Sri Lankan dinner at the hotel.
- Overnight at Anuradhapura
Day 02
- Rise early in the morning and savor a cup of renowned Ceylon tea.
- Explore Anuradhapura Ancient Kingdom (UNESCO World Heritage).
- Then go to Trincomalee.
- Visit Thirukoneswaram Temple and Lover’s Leap in Trincomalee.
- A city tour in Trincomalee that encompasses various attractions within the area.
- Dinner & Overnight stay in Trincomalee hotel.
Day 03
- Wake up in the morning, explore Trincomalee attractions after taking breakfast.
- Travel to Sigiriya and explore UNESCO World Heritage Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
- Visit Dambulla Cave Temple. The attractive frescoes are designed on the walls and ceiling.
- En route, visit Matale Spice Garden to see authentic Sri Lankan spices and handmade products.
- Check in to a Kandy Hotel (Kandy is the cultural capital of Sri Lanka).
- Visit the Temple of the Tooth Kandy, which holds Lord Buddha’s sacred Tooth Relic.
- Overnight at a Kandy Hotel.
Day 04
- After having breakfast, travel to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Over 80 elephants can be seen in one location. You will be able to feed them, and you can also watch them bathing.
- Explore the amazing Sri Lankan Gem & Jewelry Museum.
- Back to Kandy and visit the Royal Botanical Garden.
- Leisure time in Kandy hotel.
- In the evening, enjoy cultural shows in Kandy.
- Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 05
- After having breakfast, start to travel to Nuwara Eliya.
- Enroute, visit the Bhaktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, constructed by the Chinmaya Mission and known for its special Pooja ceremonies.
- Visit the Gayathri Peedam, a site believed to be blessed by Lord Shiva for King Ravana’s son.
- Proceed towards Nuwara Eliya.
- Sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya.
- Dinner & overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 06
- After relax breakfast at hotel visit Seetha Amman Temple, believed to be where Seetha was held captive.
- Explore Haggala Botanical Garden, said to be one of Ravana’s pleasure gardens.
- Next drive to Nanu Oya Railway Station & experience the one of the most beautiful scenic train ride in the world & directly travel to Ella Nature Paradise.
- Then travel to Kataragama.
- En route stop at Ravana Falls and Ravana Caves, which are linked to the legend of Ravana. (Hanuman is a central character in the Hindu epic Ramayana; he is a devoted follower of Lord Rama and plays a key role in the battle against Rawana).
- Dinner & overnight stay in Kataragama.
Day 07
- After Breakfast, travel to Kataragama Temple.
- It attracts devotees from various faiths, including Hindu, Buddhist, Tamil, and Muslim.
- See multiple Kovil and Dewala, including Ganapathi Kovil, Shiva Kovil, and Valli Amma Kovil.
- Other attractions include Kiri Vihara, Manik Gaga, and Sella Kataragama.
- Visit the Ussangoda Ramayana Site, believed to be one of King Ravana’s torched areas and an ancient airport (Ussangoda National Park).
- Travel to Galle and visit Rumassala Sanjeevani Mountain. Here, parts of the Himalayan herbs brought by Lord Hanuman are said to have fallen.
- Visit Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa, associated with the legendary battle between the Monkey King and King Ravana’s forces.
- In the evening, visit Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and later modified and improved by the Dutch.
- Check in to Galle Hotel
- Overnight stay in Galle.
Day 08
- After breakfast start traveling to the main city, Colombo.
- En-route you can join a Madu River boat safari and fish therapy.
- Visit Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo.
- Explore Colombo city tour (Lotus Tower,Gangarama Temple, Galleface Green, One Galleface mall,Colombo railway station, Port City Beach etc.).
- Visit Kelaniya Buddhist Temple (Vibishana Temple, Kelaniya).
- Check in to Colombo Hotel.
- Overnight stay at Colombo Hotel
Day 09
After breakfast relaxing drive to Colombo airport & assist in the departure.
