Overview
This 10-day romantic tour of Sri Lanka begins in the cultural triangle, focusing on the historic sites and wildlife of the Dambulla/Habarana area. You will explore the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress and enjoy a close encounter with nature during a game drive at Minneriya National Park. The journey continues to Kandy, visiting the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, the city’s beautiful Botanic Gardens, and seeing traditional arts and crafts. Along the way, you’ll visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a spice garden, and a batik factory, providing insight into Sri Lankan heritage before heading into the stunning hill country.
The second half of the trip moves through Sri Lanka’s breathtaking landscape, starting in the tea plantations and cool climate of Nuwara Eliya. This includes a trek through Horton Plains National Park and a scenic train ride to Ella, where you will hike Little Adam’s Peak and see the iconic Nine Arches Bridge. The package concludes with a transfer south to the private beach resorts in Bentota. On the way, you will visit the historical Galle Dutch Fort, witness traditional stilt fishing, and enjoy a Madu River boat safari. Your final full day is dedicated to relaxation, including a couple’s spa treatment, candlelight dinner, and leisurely time by the southern coast before departing from Colombo.
Itinerary
Day 01
Arrival – Transfer to Dambulla or Habarana
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and receive a warm welcome with a flower garland.
Start your honeymoon tour in Sri Lanka.
Drive towards Habarana or Dambulla area. (3 Hrs)
Check-in to your first hotel of the honeymoon trip.
No excursions or sightseeing scheduled for today after long flight
Check-in / relax / unwind
Dinner & overnight stay in Habarana or Dambulla luxury hotel
Accomodation: Kalundewa Retreat / Jetwing Wil Uyana / Heritance Kandalama / Aliya Resorts & Spa) / Amaya Signature / Cinnamon Lodge Habarana (These are recommended properties and please inform your travel executive if you have any other interested resort)
Day 02
Explore Sigiriya Rock Fortress / Minneriya National Park
After leisure breakfast, will proceed to explore Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage). This will take approximately 2 Hrs and back to hotel.
After that leave for Habarana Village tour.
This village tour consists of catamaran boat ride / bullock cart ride etc and will take 3 Hrs. Enjoy the authentic Sri Lankan local meal .
Next leave for Minneriya National Park by 2.00 PM and enjoy the game drive from 3 to 6 PM
Back to resort before dusk.
Overnight stay in Dambulla / Habarana
Day 03
Transfer to Kandy
Hot air balloon ride in Dambulla. Wake-up 6.00 AM and prepare for take-off with hot balloon. This activity is only available from October to April each year.
Visits to Dambulla Cave Temple (UNESCO World Heritage).(Optional)
Leave for Kandy.
En-root visit how Sri Lankan spices are grown. Technical visit to spice garden.
En-root visit Batik Factory and see how Batik fabrics are made.
Reach Kandy and check-in
Day 04
Visit to Elephant Orphanage Pinnawala (1.5 Hrs journey from Kandy & recommended excursion)
Back to Kandy and visit Sacred Tooth Relic Temple
After that go-off to check amazing Sri Lankan Gem & Jewellery Museum.
Next visit authentic Sri Lankan Batik clothing, Precious Stones , silk, art ,craft and galleries.
Spend good time in Royal Botanic Gardens Kandy
Around 4.30 pm go off to entertain witness phenomenal event Kandy Cultural Show(3 dancing styles in Sri Lanka).
Visit Kandy city view from the view point
Evening check in to same Kandy Hotel.

Day 05
After relax breakfast at hotel start traveling Nuwara Eliya.
En-route visit Temple loop (Embekke Temple Woodcarving, Gadoladeniya Stone carving, Lankathilaka Image House)
En-route visit & explore Ambuluwawa Mountain View tower & Nature Reserve.
Explore Ramboda Waterfall.
Visit Damro Labukele Tea factory & tea shop.
Visit city places such as Strawberry Plantation, Victoria Park, Gregory Lake & Colonial Buildings
In the evening check in to Nuwara Eliya Hotel.

Day 06
Wake up early in the morning 5.00 a.m & Go off with breakfast packets to explore Horton Plains National Park.
Enjoy a interesting trek to explore World end & Bakers Waterfall.
After that drive to Nanu Oya Railway Station
Experience the one of the most beautiful scenic train ride in the world & directly travel to Ella Nature Paradise.

Day 07
After relax breakfast at hotel embark on a morning hike to Little Adam’s Peak for sweeping views of Ella.
Visit the iconic Nine Arches Bridge and watch a train pass through the arches.
Enjoy a private couple photoshoot session in the scenic surroundings .
Evening at leisure with your partner.
Overnight stay at Ella.
Day 08
Transfer to Bentota
After breakfast at hotel travel south to your private beach resort in Bentota.
En-route explore the Ravana Falls that is one of the most popular and picturesque waterfall in Srilanka.short drive for photos and fresh air.
En-route see Sri Lanka’s traditional stilt fishermen, balancing on poles in the shallow sea.
En-route explore the famous city of Galle & Go on a walk inside the historical Dutch Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Walk along the ramparts, explore colonial streets, cafés, and boutiques.
En-route you can join a Madu River boat safari and fish therapy.
